On 22nd August 2023 I was absolutely over-the-moon to be announced as a finalist in the 2023 Ocean Photographer of the Year awards!
I've always seen the awards as the pinnacle of the ocean photography world, featuring stunning photos from the very best in the world. To have been named as a finalist alongside so many inspirational photographers that fall into that category is a huge honour.
The BBC said of the competition “The Ocean Photographer of the Year celebrates some of the most incredible underwater photographers and the awe-inspiring world that exists in the world’s oceans.” - so to be named as one of 12 finalists in the Wildlife category is truly a dream come true.
